Review: Passion

Title: Passion
Author: Lauren Kate
Date Released: June 14th, 2011
Pages: 420
Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Description:
Luce would die for Daniel.

And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn’t need to be that way. . . .

Luce is certain that something—or someone—in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of this lifetime . . . going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel . . . and finally unlock the key to making their love last.

Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history.

Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames . . . forever.

Sweeping across centuries, PASSION is the third novel in the unforgettably epic FALLEN series.

Review:
Passion definitely had a lot of information.  The third book in the Fallen series went through the history of Luce and Daniel... Like literally.

Torment leaves you off with Luce wanting to find out why Daniel keeps falling in love with her and if it's really and not just influenced by the curse.  Passion really explores that but for some reason, I felt like something was missing, or that it just seemed to go on with no point almost because you know that Daniel loves her because of who she is and not because of some curse, so, in a way it kind of shows that Luce is a little untrustworthy and doesn't really believe in Daniel.

We are also introduced to a new character, Bill, who was really annoying, and I probably would have like strangled him or something.  Although, he kind of reminded me of a gargoyle from some Disney movie... I can't quite remember.

But, Lauren Kate throws a big twist in the ending at you that you don't see coming.  Like, at all.  Now I see how it'll carry on into the next book, and why it's called Rapture, and it will make a nice transition.  I'm really excited to see how the series will end since Kate threw in something new.

I loved the history though.  It was a really unique touch and really added a lot of imagination into the book.  Being able to see into Luce's past lives were really cool and I gotta say that the Chinese part was the best... But I could be a little biased ;)  I also found it really interesting that time periods that Kate chose were very momenumental and historic time periods.

Overall, Passion really explored the history between Luce and Daniel, but sometimes, the plot just seemed to drag on and on, and it got a little bit repetitive because you already knew that Daniel loved her not because of some stupid curse.  The whole history aspect was really cool though.  If I would recommend it... I'm not so sure.  If you like history, then go for it.  And if you want to find out what happens in the end that's absolutely shocking, then give it a try.  I definitely can't wait until Rapture comes out to see how Kate will wrap up the series!

Cover Review:
I actually only find the cover ok :|  I think it's the pink cloud that doesn't really fit in with the cover, in my opinion.  But other than that, I really like it.  It fits with all of the other books in the series!

Cleo :)
