Waiting on Wednesday (44): Shades of Earth

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme, which is brought to you by Jill at Breaking the Spine! This meme is where you can post about what book(s) you're really look forward to.

This week, I absolutely can't wait for...

Shades of Earth (Across the Universe, #3)
The final book in the trilogy by New York Times bestselling author Beth Revis!
Amy and Elder have finally left the oppressive walls of the spaceship Godspeed behind. They're ready to start life afresh--to build a home--on Centauri-Earth, the planet that Amy has traveled 25 trillion miles across the universe to experience. But this new Earth isn't the paradise that Amy had been hoping for. Amy and Elder must race to uncover who--or what--else is out there if they are to have any hope of saving their struggling colony and building a future together. But as each new discovery brings more danger, Amy and Elder will have to look inward to the very fabric of what makes them human on this, their most harrowing journey yet. Because if the colony collapses? Then everything they have sacrificed--friends, family, life on Earth--will have been meaningless.
I totally can't wait for this book!!  A Million Suns left off right at the perfect point, leaving me desperately wanting Shades of Earth to see how everything ends.  If you haven't read the first book Across the Universe, yet, then you must definitely give it a try!!  You guys have probably heard about the cover change by now and personally I'm not the biggest fan of it.  But if a series like this is really good, then you just have to power through the changes :)

What are you waiting for this week? Also, how do you feel about the cover redesign?

Cleo :)

  1. Dying to read this one too! But to answer your question: I am not a fan of the redesign either. Mainly because now my books won't match, but also because these new covers have no visual intrigue like the other others did. They're boring. And pretty unoriginal because they remind me of the original Artemis Fowl covers.

  2. I am not a fan of the new covers either. The other two books in the series were just so pretty and now my books won't match on my bookshelf! I hate when that happens like with the Nightshade series! Ugh. Still excited for this book though! New follower :)

  8. I loved Across the Universe, but have yet to read A Million Suns. I'm kind of mad since they changed the covers! The old covers were so beautiful.

This was a great choice for Waiting on Wednesday. Thanks for sharing!
